Dark Science #70 – Excessive Force

This is definitely the biggest pickle yet.

A Degenerate Prepares For Hell

Wednesday, May 5th, 2010

I was actually working on a different comic than this one for the past month or so, but it just kept turning into garbage for some reason. Hopefully you’ll like this little tribute to Herriman I cooked up instead. I’m very happy with it!

The next update will be very strange, and sooner than usual. There are some big surprises in store for Dresden Codak this month and into the summer.

Today’s comic is something a little different: a quick timeline of our hero Kim Ross’s misadventures that doubles as a hilarious adventure game! I hope you’re as unnerved as she is.

Other great thing: Portland’s sassiest Cyborg Anthropologist gives a fantastic talk on prosthetic culture and what it means to be a cyborg!

The Process

Happy 2010! I hope you like this one (and I’ve also updated the cast page).  This was supposed to be finished more than a month ago, but I’ve been recovering from a nasty bout of tendinitis that took way too long to go away. Regardless, things are fixed up now and I’ve got plenty of surprises in store this year, including the first official DC book collection. Thanks for all your support, whether it’s financial, sharing this comic with friends or simply coming back for each update. You guys really are the best of the best when it comes to comic readers, and I really am the luckiest jerk on the planet to have you and be able to make a decent living drawing goofy pictures.

Here’s to another year of the uncompromisingly ridiculous!

I’ll have my new “Decidedly Official 2009 Sketchbook” for sale this weekend at SPX. Hope to see some of you folks there!

The Sleepwalkers

It seems like Kimiko is probably referring to this chart in her wacky fanfiction.

**Also you can get this comic as a print now!

You’re A Good Man, Charlie Darwin

Thursday, August 6th, 2009

So I drew this comic for historical person and teen heartthrob Kate Beaton a week or so ago, but I liked it so much I decided to add it to the official archives!

Fabulous Prizes

Sunday, July 12th, 2009

This one took forever, but I am happy with the result. If you like it a whole lot, now you can buy a print!

Also, for those East Coast folks interested in accelerating technologies and transhumanism at large, the Singularity Summit is being held in New York this October 3-4!  It’s certainly going to be a time.

42 Essential 3rd Act Twists

Monday, May 11th, 2009

Edit: Now you can get a print of this!

Why hello, there! For those just tuning in, in addition to my regular Twitter thing, I have added accounts for Kimiko, Tiny Carl Jung and the mysterious D.H. Ron. Their antics may help fill the void between updates.

There’s a new site design in the works, too! Hopefully it’ll be up by next week. Stay tuned.
